THE BEST FISHING TRIP OF MY LIFE!
Having fished my entire life, fishing with Capt. Savio was by far, the single most exciting fishing trip of my life. We did light tackle, spin casting for striped bass this past November out of Montauk, N.Y. It was a chilly day and the sea was calm. Right outside the Montauk inlet, toward the lighthouse we started catching bass one after another. Savio was captain, 1st mate, instructor, chef and cameraman. He carefully instructed on how to cast, jig and use his rods and reels. His rods and reels were perfectly selected for the type of fishing we did. He removed every fish caught and handled every catch and release carefully. I have never seen and experienced so many fish feeding on live baits on the surface for literally miles all around the boat. The fishing was so good, catching one after another, that it became difficult to stop fishing and eat one of Savio’s delicious sandwiches.
After 3 hours, I was exhausted after catching about 60 striped bass. Most of the fish were shorts but some were keepers. My wife enjoyed cooking the bass filets that Savio cleaned and packed on ice for us to take home. I am so looking forward to my very next spring fishing trip with Capt. Savio.
